things you will need: beam scales and a band saw
first, select a solid piece for sampling, cut a one inch section across the grain.
next, cut away all six sides so you have just the core sample.
next, weigh the sample on the scales & record your weight
then put the sample in an oven on 230 degrees for about six hours or until it quits losing weight. Now weight it again then enter the weights in the correct field in the app and there you go.
